A message window with the following text might display when you attempt to specify values for reference lines for the response axis for any vertical Bar Chart task:

The value entered is not in the expected format
Enter a value in the following format:
One or more datetime value expressions in the form of:

The message window then lists several date and datetime examples.

This problem will most likely occur when the Bar Chart tasks uses a date or datetime column for the Task Role Column to chart.

To circumvent the problem, either use the default reference lines, or edit the task generated code and add the REF= option on the VBAR statement.
